And, Why It Actually Matters.

I always prefer to talk about one very important thing about the food we're consuming, and that is, the effect it has on our cells. The astounding degree to which negative ions can contribute to good health is becoming increasingly apparent, as extensive research on the subject suggests...Negative ions are in the air that we breathe as well as in our bodies. They neutralize free radicals, revitalize cell metabolism and enhance immune function. In addition, they purify the blood and balance the autonomic nervous system, promoting deep sleep and healthy digestion. Negative ions also protect the body and mind from the harmful effects of environmental stresses such as electromagnetic fields. It is crucial that we surround ourselves with a sufficient amount of negative ions, by eating clean, healthy, organic alkaline-producing foods. All organic fruit and vegetables are alkaline and charge negative ions in our bodies. On the contrary, positive ions rob us of our good senses causing depression, nausea, insomnia, irritability, migraine, asthma attacks, and also effect the normal function of the thyroid glands. Biochemically speaking the body becomes exhausted and this can sometimes lead to an increase in accidents, violent crime and suicides. An excess of positive ions also effects the neuro-hormone adrenaline which responds to external stress. It suppresses the immune system by damaging the cells. It has been proven that acid forming foods such as animal fats and protein charge positive ions and can contribute to the above mentioned health problems! Plain and simple, a plant 100% pure plant based diet contributes to charging Negative ions for healthy cells and animal fats and proteins charge Positive ions causing decaying and sick cells! I hope this can be of help to you! Good luck with your journey.
